Fifth Grade

Cheryl Lewis

My name is Cheryl Lewis and I am excited to be the fifth grade teacher at Taylor’s Crossing Public Charter School. Teaching has always been my joy, and my personal calling in life. I am deeply committed to making sure that my students learn in a challenging, fun and loving environment.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Idaho State University in 1996 and I have recently obtained a degree in Adult Professional Technical Education. For the past several years I have run my own pre-school and daycare business. I have also taught kindergarten, first grade and fifth grade. I look forward to teaching fifth grade again.

My husband Brian and I have two teenaged boys. Alex is 18 and headed to college this year. Cassidy is 14 and will be playing football this year. We also have three dogs; Wilbur and Charlotte, our pugs, and Copper, who is the newest addition to our family.

In our spare time, my family enjoys camping and riding our 4-wheelers. We have traveled all over this country looking for the perfect trails!

I feel that our community is very fortunate to have a school that cares so much about the quality of our children’s education, as well as its desire for our students to learn positive character traits. The principles of the Harbor Method will serve our students throughout their lives. I can’t wait to meet my students and start a wonderful year at Taylor’s Crossing.
