Fourth Grade

As a teacher, I am always learning. One of my greatest joys in life comes from expanding my knowledge and helping students do the same. Learning is a journey. Becoming a teacher at Taylor’s Crossing Public Charter School gives me a new horizon. In my classes, I feel the most excitement about my teaching when my students are engaged in learning. The Harbor Method’s daily procedures are designed to be fast-paced and include continual student involvement.
My love of teaching began when I was a senior at Capital High School as I weekly taught a group of three year olds. That was an adventure. Since then I received my teaching degree at BYU, and moved to Idaho Falls where my family lives on a small farm. In this great community, I have taught piano lessons and preschool in my home. Most recently I have taught at Ucon Elementary in the second and fourth grades. My family and I love holiday, which give us time to spend together.
In my classes, I have always believed that each student is unique but comes with a need for an atmosphere that is welcoming and friendly. So our class motto has become: "Learning is a journey. We are the travelers. So do your best. Help Others. Have Fun. Learn a lot."
