Kindergarten
Janice Kunde

Hi, my name is Janice Kunde, here is a little bit about me. Education is an ongoing process. But what I love about Kindergarten is the fascination and joy I see in the eyes of children when they are discovering something for the first time. I believe Kindergarten is the best grade!! I love the sweet innocence of the small children and want them to feel secure and safe so they can explore and learn to the best of their ability.
I received my education from Brigham Young University graduating with a B.S. in Elementary Education in 1979.
My experience is with young children: After Graduation I taught first grade for 4 years. I then moved to Kindergarten and taught 8 years before taking a break to raise my young family. When my youngest was in Kindergarten I started back in 2003. I have taught 14 years in Kindergarten and first grade.
I get excited to see how much growth comes in the kindergarten year. They gain so much confidence and leave feeling they can conquer and read any word put in front of them.
I am a Mother of 5, Justin, Jason, Janalyn, Joshua, and Jacob. My husband Lynden and I have lived above Iona in the foothills for the past 20 years, we love the country. My oldest 3 children are married and I soon will have 2 grandchildren. My 16 year old son will be at Bonneville High and my 8 year old son is also going to Taylor’s Crossing. I enjoy all my children’s activities, and watching them succeed. I love music, and taught a performing singing group The Children’s Showcase for many years. I enjoy cooking, gardening, camping and traveling.
Taylor’s Crossing is going to be an Outstanding School. We have the best children, patrons, and faculty. I look forward to a great year.
