Hi! My name is DeLaine Shenton. I graduated from Brigham Young University and taught third grade for five years at Franklin Elementary School in Provo, UT. I stayed home for ten years and then returned to the classroom at Ucon Elementary School where I taught second grade, a first-second combination class, and a second-third combination class for a total of seven years. My husband and I have four wonderful children, ranging from the ages of 20 to 12. I love to sing and play the piano. I also enjoy camping and traveling with my family.

Several years ago I had the opportunity to see a harbor method school in action. I have never forgotten the positive impact that experience has had on my teaching career, as well as the positive impact it has had in my personal life. I am thrilled to be teaching third grade at Taylor's Crossing Public Charter School. I feel honored to be part of this outstanding faculty and I am excited to join the “harbor” team.
